Councilman Beephan Announces East Fishkill GOP Endorsement for NYS Assembly Bid, District 105

Hopewell Junction, NY: ICYMI: Councilman Anil Beephan announced his candidacy for NYS Assembly - District 105 on October 27th. The district includes the towns of Beekman, Dover, East Fishkill, Fishkill, La Grange, Pawling, Union Vale, Wappinger, and Washington.

Earlier this week, Beephan received the East Fishkill GOP endorsement for his New York State Assembly bid. East Fishkill is Anil's hometown and the heaviest weighted GOP committee in the Assembly District. Beephan will go into the Dutchess County convention having the total weight of the committee on his side.

"I am honored to have the overwhelming support of my home committee as I continue my campaign for New York State Assembly. I look forward to meeting with the remaining towns in our district and discussing the needs of our community. Together, we can give our community an accountable voice in Albany and help restore common sense to New York State government. We are at a pivotal moment in history; we must continue our fight for the heart and soul of our democracy." - Councilman Anil Beephan

Councilman Beephan began his life in public service as a youth summer missionary in the Dominican Republic and Liberia. As a teen, his strong desire to serve the East Fishkill community led him to Hopewell Hose, the fire company he joined at 16. He volunteered with the district for seven years until he left due to his full-time career. During his tenure, he held the rank of Second Lieutenant. Anil continued his service to Dutchess County as a Legislative Assistant and Community Representative for the 41st New York Senate District from 2016 to early 2019. Today, Anil has refocused his efforts on his hometown of East Fishkill. Beephan joined the East Fishkill Town Council in March of 2018 due to a vacancy left by Supervisor Nick D'Alessandro. At the age of 23, he took office as the youngest Council Member in the East Fishkill history. He was later elected that year in a special election and again in 2019 for his current term.

Anil attended Arcadia University, where he obtained his bachelor's degree in political science. He later received a master's degree in Management at Harvard University's Extension School.

Today, Anil works full-time in the I.T. safety industry as a Client Engagement Specialist. He previously worked for the New York State Senate as well as a Public Relations firm, where he led communications strategy and implementation for noteworthy public infrastructure projects.
