Hopewell Junction, N.Y. -- Councilman Anil Beephan has received the majority support of GOP committee members via straw poll in the Towns of East Fishkill & Wappinger. The straw polls followed campaign presentations by candidates and an anonymous vote of the committee members present.

Beephan states, "I am both thankful and honored to have the support of committee members across the Towns of Wappinger & East Fishkill. While this is a strong start, I am excited to meet with the remaining towns in the 105th Assembly District."

East Fishkill Supervisor Nick D'Alessandro commented,“Councilman Beephan has been an integral part of the East Fishkill Government for the past four years. Not only does Councilman Beephan care about our residents and community, he cares and understands the importance of local businesses. It’s wonderful to see the councilman engage and advocate for so many different groups and businesses alike. Councilman is one of the hardest working government officials that I have met in my many years in local government.”

Wappinger Supervisor Richard Thurston says, "“During the past four years, I have had many opportunities to work closely with AJ. As a result, I have come to have a deep respect for his “community first” commitment, most especially the sacrifices he has made for the good and welfare of the greater community. For these and many other reasons, I endorse AJ Beephan for State Assembly.”

County Legislators Cavaccini & Paoloni as well as Highway Superintendent Mike Sheehan of Wappinger has also endorsed Beephan's Assembly Campaign

East Fishkill GOP Chairwoman, Bonnie McHoul Wiegard announced the official endorsement of Councilman Anil Beephan for the 105th Assembly District. "On December 1st, the East Fishkill GOP held interviews for the candidates interested in the open State Assembly position. The committee held a vote following the interviews that Councilman Beephan won by majority. As the heaviest weighted town in Dutchess County, we are excited to fully support our hometown candidate as he progresses to the convention."
